Since I needed an infusion of hope to counter the continuing onslaught of distressing news, I thought you might too. Here are seven quotes to help all of us believe that a better future is possible and remind us that love is stronger than hate:
"I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant.” - Martin Luther King Jr.
“You may not always have a comfortable life and you will not always be able to solve all of the world’s problems at once but don’t ever underestimate the importance you can have because history has shown us that courage can be contagious and hope can take on a life of its own.” – Michelle Obama
“Hope is not about proving anything. It’s about choosing to believe this one thing, that love is bigger than any grim, bleak shit anyone can throw at us.”― Anne Lamott
“We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” – Desmond Tutu
“There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope.” – Bernard Williams
“Hope is a renewable option: If you run out of it at the end of the day, you get to start over in the morning.” – Barbara Kingsolver
Which quote is your favorite? Why do you like it? Do you have other inspirational quotes that help you remain hopeful during difficult times?

I like those quotes. Knowing who said them and their life stories offers hope and challenges me as well I want to experience the peace and hope they radiate. I find along with the quotes listening to the stories of other people's lives and seeing that they are kind and compassionate and can laugh gives me hope and that little engine who thought it could was right ordinary people do it all the time and I'm ordinary so I can too. And compassionate is my goal in life!!
Definitely in need of hope infusions! Thank you.
