Share This With Someone You Know Who Wants Spiritual Support, Not Religious Intimidation
As a former pastor who has had more spiritual experiences outside of churches than in them, I'm committed to providing safe spaces to discuss diverse spiritual beliefs and practices
Do you know anyone who isn’t traumatized by recent events? Terrified about what the future may hold? Questioning their spiritual beliefs or being harmed by the way other people - maybe even family members or friends - express theirs?
I don’t, which is why I’m passionate about supporting people who are struggling to cope, especially those being pressured to “go along to get along” and not question “truths” they’ve been taught.
If you or someone you love would like spiritual support from people who don’t claim to have all the answers or insist that their answers are the only acceptable ones, check out this Zoom small group!
For six weeks, from 5/4 - 6/8/25, we’ll meet live on Zoom on Sundays from 11 AM - 12:30 PM CDT. Here's what we'll discuss each week:
Session 1 (5/4): Introductions, review of group guidelines, and conversation about what wearies our souls
Session 2 (5/11): Spiritual Journaling. You’ll learn one method to connect with Divine Wisdom and Love, see sample journal entries, and have time to try this spiritual practice (or write about anything else). There will be an opportunity (but no pressure) to share what you’ve written or how you felt as you wrote.
Session 3 (5/18): Spiritual Places. You’ll learn where others go to renew their spirits and soothe their souls and share where you go (or would if you could). Spiritual experiences can happen anywhere!
Session 4 (5/25): Spiritual Things. You’ll learn about the things (books, photos, music, candles, tattoos, tarot cards, etc) that have spiritual significance for others and why and talk about yours. Ideally, this will be a show and tell night!
Session 5 (6/1): Spiritual People. Who are your spiritual role models and why? After each person shares theirs, we’ll look at some other possible sources of encouragement and inspiration.
Session 6 (6/8): Spiritual Lessons. Members will share what they've gained from participating in the group and how it will help them in the future. We'll discuss how/whether our spiritual beliefs or practices have changed since the group began and which topics we found most interesting and why.
***This group is limited to 12 people and all sessions are live only. These limits create a safer online community for people with diverse spiritual beliefs and experiences and ensure that everyone has time to speak during each session.***
This is awesome, Wendi! Perfect idea for you! I'm sure it will benefit 12 lovely souls. :)
