I so love this interview post ... not only the parts from Kathryn, but the deeper dive into your backstory and motivation. So many connections here and I loved your clarity about writing about the intersection of art and mental health. When I began to wonder what my intersection is, I realized part of my problem is that I have more of a roundabout with way too many off ramps. Anyway, thanks for so many things to think about.

Thanks for letting me know you loved it, Joyce! Just to be clear, I was the one asking the questions, so the backstory and clarity about writing about the intersection of art and mental health are Kathryn's answers. The personal asides in italics are my responses to what she said. So she's the one who researches and writes about the relationship between art and mental health.

I have written about how writing helps my mental health, and my goal is to help others by sharing my mental health journey and coping strategies. The link embedded in this interview of her is the interview she did of me. That's where you can learn more about me and how my mental health issues influence my writing.
